This program provides grant funds for capital, mobility management and operating projects that will remove barriers to transportation services or expand options for seniors and people with disabilities. Projects must be included in the Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan: https://mtc.ca.gov/sites/default/files/MTC_Coordinated_Plan.pdf. Please see the attached factsheet for more details. This cycle will include two years of federal funding for FY 2018 and FY 2019.
Under this program, Caltrans has two funding categories: Large Urbanized Areas (UZAs), and Small Urbanized/Rural Areas. Applicants in the Bay Area’s Small Urbanized/Rural Areas will compete in a statewide competitive process.
